A wireline logging programme has continued over the past week in the onshore Kohatukai-1 well in PEP 55768, south of New Plymouth of northern Taranaki.
Partner New Zealand Oil & Gas (NZOG) said yesterday that interpretation of log data is ongoing.
Modular Formation Dynamics Tester (MDT) tool operations are underway and planned to continue this week. These measure formation pressures and sample reservoir fluids to further assess the interval.
The logging will then be concluded with a wellbore seismic acquisition programme.
Participants in PEP 55768 are Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd 37.5%; AWE Holdings NZ Ltd 12.5% (operator); NZOG 25%; and O.G. Oil and Gas Ltd 25%.
