The Australasian mining and infrastructure company Downer EDI Ltd (ASX & NZX: DOW) has been awarded a major three-year maintenance service contract with BHP for its operations in Port Hedland in Western Australia.
Downer said its scope of work spans maintenance of the Port Hedland export operation across the Finucane Island and Nelson Point facilities.
This includes provision of mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, as well as minor civils, rope access and industrial services.
Downer chief executive Grant Fenn said this new contract “is testament to our asset services capabilities, as well as the high standards of work we provide for customers.
“We look forward to working closely with BHP,” Fenn added.
