The AusIMM’s Nelson Discussion Group’s meeting early next month will cover the history of the New Zealand electricity industry and the options that are ahead.
The speaker will be Malcolm Taylor who has been involved in the electricity industry since graduating from Otago University in 1972, working on power stations around the country and now working for Contact Energy at Clyde.
Looking at today’s scenario AusIMM said Taylor will discuss what lies ahead with energy issues with the growth of renewable energy.
The talk will take place on Friday afternoon, October 5 at the Constance Barnicoat Room at Richmond Library at 280 Queen Street, Richmond.
