There will be a series of risk assessment workshops conducted by the Pike River Recovery Agency this month.
They will be open for the public to attend.
The workshops will be held at the NZ Mines Rescue Centre in Rapahoe to risk assess three options for re-entering the damaged Pike River coal mine in an attempt to recover the remains of some or all of the 29 miners who perished in a methane blast eight years ago.
The first workshop will be tomorrow morning, then there will be another on Friday, then the following Monday and the last on September 20.
For the public a room will be set up next to the main workshop room and will have a closed circuit screen to assist the public.
