Bathurst’s Canadian project moves forward

New Zealand’s biggest coal producer Bathurst Resources Ltd (ASX: BRL) is advancing work on a major coking coal project in Canada with a Perth company Jameson Resources Ltd (ASX: JAL).

This week Jameson said Bathurst had elected to advance part of the $C7.5 million ($NZ8.43 M) post-exploration tranche as a first step to take up a 50% interest in the Crown Mountain project.

Jameson said these funds will allow work at Crown Mountain to advance.

The Perth company said once exploration results are reported, Bathurst has the option to invest an additional $C7.5 M to sole fund a bankable feasibility study and the permitting required to build a mine.
