: The oil sands mining business in Canada will be the subject of the AusIMM Christchurch Discussion Group’s talk later this month.
Joanna Lea Petheram will give a talk on temperature monitoring and strength testing during construction of a slurry cut-off wall for a Canadian oil sands project.
The talk will be given on the evening of Thursday July 26 at the Regent Meeting Room at 214 Durham Street, Christchurch Central.
The presenter is a senior engineering geologist currently working for Davis Ogilvie in Christchurch.
She is an experienced consultant with a background in open cut coal, gold and oil sand mining projects in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
